AI can now create remarkably convincing images, videos, voices, and even live interactions. As synthetic media becomes harder to distinguish from reality, an old saying no longer works the way it used to: “seeing is (no longer) believing.” 

But the answer can not be to simply stop trusting everything.

Join us for this interactive AI Café as we explore how AI is changing how we decide what to trust, who to trust, and when to verify. We will put our own instincts to the test with a Real vs. Synthetic Challenge, look at what the latest research tells us about our ability to detect AI-generated content, and practice simple ways to verify information when it really matters.
